Something I have noticed launch

I'm still basking in the afterglow of a gorgeous evening launching my new Something I have noticed journal last night.
My friend Bec Evans came and said a few words to introduce me. Bec is a writer and a reader and in the journal she is the friend who lent me a big pile of books about rest and recovery before my surgery, all which helped me navigate through my year of convalescence.
Being a reader of my Three Somethings she aptly chose three good things that she has taken from my practice of 'noticing'. She made me teary and gave me that heart swellingly in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time feeling when someone acknowledges how the work you do day to day can lift and inspire other people.
And I read one of my favourite passages in the book about my experience in hospital, based on a blog post I wrote last year called Morphine & the Book of Delights which you can read here. I don't have a photo to show you my view of this reading but my goodness, I'm storing that one up; a beautiful sea of loved ones, listening, attentive, smiling, laughing along. So much love.
Then there were chats and the warm glow of friends, customers and family meeting each other, some for the first time.
Olive was inspired by Domenique's habit of hiding drawings around the studio when she found one under her coaster. She decided to make some of her own. I'm looking forward to discovering the when I'm not expecting it!
Thanks so everyone who came and made it sparkly and to those who were there in spirit. I'm happy.
And thanks for the pictures everyone.

My Something I have noticed journal has 100 pages of my writing, photography and illustrations. It is available on my website now and can be posted around the world.
