a large paper meadow posy

A simple and beautiful bouquet of fourteen all-year-round meadow stems to gift yourself or a loved one. They will long out-live a bunch of real flowers so will bring you lasting enjoyment and will look gorgeous in so many places around the home.

Each set has one poppy seed head, four plantain, one sorrel, one ox eye daisy, an umbellifer, a scabious, a rush and four different grasses. You can choose to have one or two colours in a bunch.

A portion of each sale goes to Plantlife's 'Making Meadows' project so when you purchase you'll be helping to conserve and create these beautiful and delicate natural habitats.

We carefully laser-cut each stem from thick cardboard in our studio. The smallest stem is 25cm and the tallest is 29cm. Just like real flowers the long stems could be trimmed to suit your vase. They work well in a vase with a narrow opening.

They will come backed on a sheet of kraft card and wrapped in a glassine sheet with care instructions.

Materials

We laser cut the stems in our studio from thick card in six different colours. It looks a bit like wood but it isn’t!

Size

The stems range from 28 cm to 40 cm tall.

Care instructions

Just like real flowers they are delicate and need to be handled with care so they will last a long time.

Display them in a dry place.

Please keep away from direct sunlight as the colours will fade in time.

Keep away from sources of direct heat too.

How do you make them and what are they made of?

Can I buy individual stems?

I’m sorry no. Selling them as a set is the most economical way of making them. The selection is well balanced visually. All the different stems, nestle together on one sheet of card with minimal wastage and need to come as one set.

What sort of vase do they work in?

The 'simple' and handsome' bunches work best in a tall thin vase to keep the stems from bending outwards. As there are more stems in the 'bountiful' bouquet it needs something with a wider opening. You can use the string provided to keep the bunch together if it splays out too much. Don’t tie it too tight.

I’m sure they will look great in many types of vessel. Experiment with what looks best.

Like real flowers the bottom of the stems can be trimmed if they are too tall for your vase. If they are too small you can always scrunch up some paper in the bottom of the vessel to provide some height.

I can’t see the colourway that I would like? Can I still order it?

We haven’t listed all the possible colourway options as there are rather a lot. We have just shown some of our favourites. Email us and let us know if there is something specific that you would like and we will do our best.
