Do you go out for a walk and come back with pockets full of sycamore seeds, beech nuts or shiny conkers? Are you fascinated by empty seed pods or acorn cups? It sounds like you might be a treasure hunter like me and these little delights might excite you (or a treasure hunting friend).
This is a set of twelve tiny treasures in an array of colour options. In each set you will get two sycamore seeds, two poppy seed head, some ash keys, an indian horse chestnut and a mix of little acorns, catkins, poppy seed tops and beech nuts. It's a really nice balance of seeds and pods for display.
PLEASE NOTE! When you have made your choice of colours we will pick from the shapes at random so you may get a slightly different mix than what is shown but we can guarantee that they will all be lovely! The strings look gorgeous hanging on their own but the first few images show the potential of hanging multiple strings together.
'Thank you very much for the box of treasures which arrived this afternoon. You know when things are so exquisitely beautiful, I find it hard not to cry these days. Thank you'
What do I do with them?
I designed them to simply be hung decoratively and enjoyed but of course you can use them in any way you like. Some people display them hanging from a shelf or simply displayed individually on a shelf. Perhaps they could go in a print tray or dangling in a vase of branches. It’s totally up to you.
What are they made of?
They are made of really thick 600 – 700gsm card.
How are they made?
We laser cut them in-house.
Can they come ready threaded up?
I’m afraid not. They travel much better when they are sent flat in their packet. If we threaded them first they would become very tangled up!
Are they easy to thread?
They are very easy. Each treasure has at least two holes in. Just thread through one hole and out of another. They then simply slide up and down the thread and stay where they are put. You can string them horizontally or vertically.
Do all the treasures come with the nylon thread?
Just the sets that come as multiples of 5 or more will come with a spool of thread. The option to buy a spool on it’s own is coming soon.
