The Wild Edge at Popples Common

We went up to Popples Common, the spot that inspired my Wild Edge wallpaper to say hello to all the characters that feature in the design.

We were greeted by a sea of colour,

lots of bees and butterflies

and straw coloured grasses swaying in the wind.

We saw the hogweed

and the ragwort

and all the beautiful fireweed.

There we SO many bilberries and we pottered about in the warm evening sun gathering.

The only vessel we had was Deans hat so we filled it up and had bilberry pancakes and ice cream for our pudding. What a celebration!

I'll be using some of these photos of the plants as inspiration for colours when I take my design to the wallpaper factory on the 20th September for sampling. I'm excited.
