There are flowers; some obvious blooms

There is new colour on the branches. Buds of pink, white, yellow and green, subtly changing the colour of the woods from afar.

The hawthorns have been the first to pop and the river path is lined with their zing!

Pretty soon it will be harder to spot the birds in the hedgerows.
