Happy Solstice!

We made it to the darkest, shortest day of the year! The days get longer and brighter from here!

My friend Julia sent me the lovely song, Joy  by Tracey Thorn after we'd been talking about the importance of light at a dark time on our live artist chain chat the other week. The lyrics are so poignant right now so listen closely (and have tissues to hand).

Last night we had a mini nighttime tour of the bright lights of Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall. This Hebden street in the first photo has beautiful festoons of fairy lights and it's SO beautiful. I might have to get some tips from them for our street next year. And Heptonstall's advent widows were so beautiful, as was it's gorgeous willow stag all lit up by the fairy lights. It was very uplifting on such a dark night.

Happy Solstice everyone. Hope you find the beauty in the spark Xxx
