Harebells near Stoodley Pike

After the frenzy of spring and early summer flowers there's always a bit of a lull when things are dying off and not looking quite so spectacular and the pesky Himalayan Balsam is doing its best to take over the world!

But then come the harebells!

Yesterday I was lucky to find two patches in two beautiful locations. We walked to Stoodley Pike first thing in the morning and found lots on a field below the monument and then some more among the heather up at Blake Dean in the evening when we went for a dip in the river. It was an epic day for nature yesterday that held many blissful 'oh my goodness I am so grateful that I live here moments'. I loved...
